Flagstone is a generic flat stone, sometimes cut in regular rectangular or square shape and usually used for paving slabs or walkways, patios, flooring, fences and roofing. It may be used for memorials, headstones, facades and other construction.
Pennsylvania bluestone is a dense, strong, fine-grained sandstone quarried in the northeastern United States, mostly in Pennsylvania and upstate New York. It is an excellent material for decks and patios as it resists cracking and won’t discolor. It easily can be separated into slabs of varying sizes, making it suitable for other architectural details such as steps, walls, building facades, interior floors, and fireplaces.
Hand sandblasted engraved Bluestone/Flagstone rock paver or sign. These are available in rectangle, square, and irregular shaped pieces.
We will talk with you about the specific size and shape you want. We also always have a few smaller pieces on hand and will issue a refund if it is determined you want a small piece.
A piece of 2" thick Bluestone/Flagstone works well for a memorial marker in situations where you must have a flat memorial.
Engraving is painted with several coats of primer and indoor/outdoor paint.
Each slab is imperfect with uneven edges and some face blemishes.
We will send you a layout proof for approval/changes before we sandblast.
